Joe Cruz is regarded as one of the most versatile and energetic multi-stringed instrumentalists on the Twin Cities music scene. Throughout his 30-year career, this passionate musician has developed a vast array of styles (Jazz, Rock, R&B, Latin, reggae, country, bluegrass and folk.) In addition to his primary instruments, acoustic and electric guitar and mandolin, Joe also plays Cuban trés, the Puerto Rican cuatro, banjo and dobro. Joe has been engaged by The Children's Theater Company for several productions. He currently plays solo shows and with his band Scenic Roots. Also performs with, Brian Wicklund and The Barley jacks, guitar/vocal jazz duo Cruz with Roxy, and blues piano man Scottie Miller. Also a composer, Joe has an extensive repertoire of original compositions.
